The official register of candidates for Calgary’s 2025 General Election is now open. Every candidate must file their intent to run and, once nominated, their names are listed publicly by Elections Calgary. These lists are more than just names on a page — they represent choices that shape our city’s future.
On the Elections Calgary website, three important resources are now available:
Nominated candidates: 2025 General Election – the official list of Calgarians who have completed their nomination to run for mayor, councillor, or school board trustee.
Register of candidates: 2025 Calgary General Election – individuals who have filed their notice of intent to run.
Mayor and councillor candidates: 2025 General Election – a focused list of those competing for the two offices that guide our city’s direction: Mayor of Calgary and City Councillor.
Together, these pages remind us that democracy in Calgary is alive and active.
